The XXIV Olympic Winter Games will be held from February 4 to 20 in Beijing (People’s Republic of China). More than 4,000 athletes from 95 countries will compete in 15 sports and win 109 sets of awards. Ukraine is represented by 45 athletes, who will take part in 12 sports: biathlon, bobsleigh, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snowboarding, ski jumping, figure skating and etc. Among the participants is a graduate of our university – Viktoriia Olekh.
Victoria studied at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2010 and four years later got a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine. In 2016 she got a master’s degree. Lecturers remember her to be a brilliant student. Victoriia constantly defended not only the honor of SNAU in sports competitions, but also participated in the Ukrainian biathlon team. At the Olympic Games in Beijing the athlete will compete in the discipline “Ski Racing”.
