Academic Council of 30.06.2025

The scheduled meeting of the Academic Council of Sumy National Agrarian University took place on June 30, 2025, and allowed those present to discuss a number of issues on the agenda.

The Rector of Sumy NAU, Ihor KOVALENKO, delivered a welcoming and instructive speech at the end of the academic year:
“Sumy National Agrarian University continues to develop despite the difficult times. We have many achievements during this academic year, but also the conditions of war dictate many challenges. No matter how difficult it will be to overcome, I believe that we will succeed with our joint efforts.”

The Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Academic Affairs reported on several issues on the agenda at once: they discussed the state of staffing of the educational process and the fulfillment of contractual obligations by academic staff, the university’s preparation for the new 2025-2026 academic year, as well as the results of the spring examination session, which led to the approval of scholarships for the best students. Among them were scholarships awarded both for 1 semester and for a year, in particular:

  • Vladyslava Demchenko, Dmytro Klymenko, and Yaroslava Dziuba – Presidential Scholarship;
  • Yelyzaveta Malkova – M.S. Hrushevsky Scholarship;
  • Kateryna Tsarkova – Cabinet of Ministers Scholarship;
  • Bohdan Hubka – scholarship named after the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred (for one year);
  • Diana Kurant – social scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (for one year);
  • Ksenia Kovalenko, Polina Kravets – scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (for one year);
  • Ilona Sayko, Vladyslava Hrebenyk, Veronika Shkarupa, and Matvii Muzykin – scholarship of the Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration.

Olena BEHMENKO, Director of the Library of Sumy National Agrarian University, raised the topic of the importance of the role of the scientific library in the information support of the educational and scientific process in all structures of the university. Modern education requires not only time, but also high-quality and up-to-date sources of information, for which the university community often turns to the library. In the context of distance learning, the electronic library is being adapted to ensure the highest quality educational and scientific processes.

The Academic Secretary Anatolii ROZUMENKO reported on the status of implementation of the decisions made at the meetings of the Academic Council and informed the audience about how the work of the Academic Council was organized during the academic year 2024-2025.

We thank everyone involved for their fruitful work for the benefit of Sumy National Agrarian University. Special thanks to the employees who strive to ensure quality education for students and young people who use opportunities to the fullest.
