On 18 November, Sumy National Agrarian University launched a professional development course titled “Enhancing Pedagogical Mastery in Higher Education”, specially designed for young teachers. The program focuses on intensive improvement of professional knowledge, the formation of new competencies, increased effectiveness of the educational process, and the activation of research activities among young educators.
The first lecture was dedicated to the specific features of organizing the educational process at SNAU. Leading university experts were invited to deliver the classes, allowing young researchers to learn from the experience and practical approaches of their colleagues.
The speaker of the first session was Marharyta Lyshenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical, and Educational Work at SNAU, Doctor of Economics, and Professor. Participants were introduced to the regulatory and legal aspects of the educational process in higher education and the essential nuances of the accreditation system for educational and professional programs.
“The modern world is developing rapidly, and young lecturers must keep up more than anyone else, as they are the generators of new ideas and the connecting link between students and knowledge. That is why we designed this course — to support you at the beginning of your academic and pedagogical careers and to answer all your questions. In this important process, even the smallest detail matters,” noted Marharyta Lyshenko.
Participants of the course showed great interest in the presented topic, actively discussed practical cases, and received comprehensive answers to their questions.
The creation of this course is an important university initiative that contributes to the advancement of higher education in Ukraine. It supports young researchers in their professional growth, helps shape a new educational culture, and lays the foundation for high-quality interaction between students and lecturers in today’s academic environment.
