Nataliia Chernopashchenko, Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany, took part in the opening of the updated long-term project ConnectED, which took place at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (Germany).
The participation of the representative of the Embassy of Ukraine gave the event a special status and demonstrated diplomatic support for the development of German-Ukrainian academic cooperation involving Ukrainian higher education institutions, among which Sumy National Agrarian University is an active partner of the university network.
The long-term project ConnectED will run until 2029 within the framework of the German-Ukrainian University Network and aims to strengthen and expand academic partnerships between German and Ukrainian universities.
The initiative’s partners include the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, the Ukrainian National Forestry University, and Sumy National Agrarian University, which consistently develops international cooperation in the fields of sustainable development, agricultural education, and environmental protection.
Since 2022, the Eberswalde University has been a centre of German-Ukrainian academic cooperation, which has acquired special importance during wartime in supporting Ukrainian universities. For SNAU this cooperation is an important component of its international activities aimed at integrating the university into the European educational and scientific space.
The participation of the Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany in the opening of the updated project format highlights the importance of international diplomatic support for educational and scientific initiatives in which Sumy National Agrarian University takes part as a reliable partner in German-Ukrainian university cooperation.
