On February 11, the global community marks the International Day of Women and Girls in Science — a date that highlights the importance of equal opportunities in access to education, scientific research, and innovation, as well as the role of women in the development of modern science.
Despite gradual positive changes, women still remain underrepresented in the scientific community today, especially in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). At the same time, diversity of experience, perspectives, and approaches is a key foundation for high-quality scientific solutions and sustainable societal development.
At Sumy National Agrarian University women constitute a significant part of the academic and research community. They conduct scientific research in the fields of agronomy, veterinary medicine, biotechnology, ecology, food technologies, engineering, law, economics, and management, combining research activities with the training of future specialists for Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
Women scientists of SNAU are active participants in research projects, international academic mobility programs, and grant initiatives, and they take part in scientific conferences and forums in Ukraine and abroad. The results of their research are published in national and international scholarly journals and find practical application in production and in the educational process.
Sumy National Agrarian University consistently supports the development of women’s scientific potential by creating conditions for professional growth, interdisciplinary cooperation, and the implementation of innovations in scientific and educational activities.
On this day we sincerely congratulate women scientists, lecturers, researchers, PhD students and female students of SNAU. We thank you for your professionalism, dedication, and significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian science. We wish you inspiration, bold ideas, successful implementation of scientific projects, and new achievements!
