Despite the anxiety and apathy that has been wandering among people recently, student volunteers of the Sumy National Agrarian University, together with Svitlana Zinchenko, visited the children’s home in Khoruzhivka on June 4, 2025, to give the children bright memories from the beginning of summer.
SNAU often visits the children of the home and seeks to support and comfort each of them. During the visits, the children not only receive gifts, things and treats, but also spend time together with the volunteers, playing, dancing and chatting around the fire, where everyone cooked field porridge and barbecue.
This time, we managed to collect new clothes, necessary things, treats and pies for the children. Funding came from those who are involved in good deeds together with SNAU for the first time. Among them are Stefania Mukha, Maksym Prykhodko, Svitlana Kuprienko, who heads the “Smakota” café, and the “Koshik” supermarket chain.
In addition, the student volunteer centre created an auxiliary bank, the funds from which were used to purchase various stationery and toys for children.
We sincerely thank everyone who joins in and helps. After all, only in unity and mutual support lies our true strength. Helping people is easy if you do it under the wing of good of SNAU.
