Roman YAROSHCHUK, head of the scientific laboratory “Forestry of the north-east of Ukraine”, associate professor of the Department of Ecology and Botany, candidate of Agricultural Sciences, reported on behalf of the University.
During his report “The impact of war on climate change and community well-being. Ways of solution” he shared his thoughts on the problem of damaged soils as a result of the fighting caused by russian terrorist troops. He spoke about the need to preserve natural resources, drew attention to the importance of restoring and creating protective forest stands.
The problem of the impact of military operations on the climate and well-being of citizens is acute for Ukraine and our citizens. Scientists and practitioners jointly find ways to solve and improve the situation. According to SNAU employees, such conferences are extremely important, because professional opinions are also expressed by representatives of government bodies, public organizations, local businesses and energy efficiency experts.
