MEETING OF THE VYSEGRAD UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATION

From September 17 to 19, a general meeting of members of the Visegrad University Association was held at the University of Agriculture in Krakow. From the Sumy National Agrarian University, the Vice-Rector for scientific and international activities, Yurii Danko, took part in the meeting.

The agenda included issues related to the further development of international cooperation within the framework of the Visegrad Association. The participants of the meeting paid attention to the changes to the founding documents, the reception of new members, the functioning of the Visegrad Journal of Bioeconomy and Sustainable Development.

The Visegrad University Association was established in 2011 and currently has 43 active and 12 honorary members. The main goal of the association is to unite partner universities to ensure quality education and scientific environment and to promote the development of closer cooperation between the Visegrad Group, as well as cooperating regions, following the policy of neighboring countries of the International Visegrad Foundation. The association will provide opportunities for greater interaction and effectiveness of the academic and research activities of the Visegrad Group, to increase the prestige of the region and strengthen the international unity of Central Europe, as well as to promote relations with third countries, other regional groupings and international organizations.
