Published: October 24, 2025

Students of Sumy National Agrarian University, who represent student self-government bodies, have become members of two important public institutions: the Youth Council at the Sumy Regional State Administration and the Coordination Council on the Affirmation of Ukrainian National and Civic Identity at the Sumy City Council.

The Youth Council at the Sumy Regional State Administration is a new team of active, ambitious young people who seek to represent the interests of regional youth, create a platform for the implementation of their ideas and projects, and make Sumy a region where every voice of the younger generation will be heard. As part of its activities, the council is planning a series of educational, social, and cultural initiatives and invites those who are ready to participate.

The Youth Council includes representatives of the SNAU Student Council: a student rector Andrii Kolodnenko is First Deputy Head of the Youth Council at the Sumy Regional State Administration; First Deputy Student Rector Bohdan Hubka is Head of the Resource Mobilization Department, and Deputy Student Rector for Career Guidance Matvii Muzykin is Head of the Strategic Partnership Department.

The Coordination Council at the Sumy City Council brings together officials, representatives of educational institutions, cultural centers, and the public. It was created as a platform for systematic work to promote Ukrainian national and civic identity, especially in the context of information pressure and hybrid threats. Andrii Kolodnenko, student rector of SNAU, is a member of the council. The council plans to hold thematic events, including master classes, flash mobs, sports tournaments, video projects, and student participation in the National Unity Radio Dictation.

For SNAU such participation means the opportunity to involve students in public life, strengthen the university’s position as a platform for the development of youth leaders, and open new horizons for cooperation, practice, and social activity.

We wish our student leaders success and inspiration in implementing their projects! May their activities contribute to strengthening the youth community, affirming national values, and further development of Sumy National Agrarian University.
