Representatives of SNAU entered the register of experts of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

The community of Sumy National Agrarian University is actively involved in the processes of ensuring the quality of education at the institution, participating in specialized trainings and exercises. During the summer of 2025, about twenty representatives of our university were included in the Register of Experts of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education in Ukraine.

The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education is the central body in the field of higher education, responsible for the formation and implementation of the system of ensuring its quality in Ukraine. Among its key areas of activity are the accreditation of educational programs, conducting
institutional audits of higher education institutions, certification of programs for the training of doctors of philosophy, as well as the development of quality standards and criteria. The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine carries out independent control over compliance with legislative requirements and education standards, promotes the integration of the Ukrainian educational system into the European Higher Education Area, and ensures transparency, openness and trust in diplomas of Ukrainian universities both at the national and international levels.

The participation of SNAU representatives in the agency’s activities is an important indicator of the university’s strategic development as a modern, innovative higher education institution and a leading centre for the dissemination of quality knowledge and practical competencies.

This year, the register of experts includes one scientific and pedagogical employee and thirteen higher education applicants.

  • The Faculty of Food Technologies is represented by Yana Ilyashenko, a postgraduate student of the Department of Food Technology and Safety, as well as students Danylo Toderiuk and Alona Popova.
  • The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was represented by Liudmyla Varenyk, a postgraduate student of the Department of Veterinary and Sanitary Inspection, Microbiology, Hygiene and Pathological Anatomy, and student Diana Derevianchenko.
  • The Faculty of Engineering and Technology is represented by Olena Teslenko, a postgraduate student of the Department of Energy and Electrical Systems, and student Bohdan Hubka.
  • From the Faculty of Economics and Management, the experts included Kateryna Prokopenko, a graduate student of the Department of Marketing and Logistics, and Ivan Holub, a student.
  • The Faculty of Law is represented by Olena Kanivets, an associate professor of the Department of Geodesy and Land Management, and Andrii Kolodnenko, a student.
  • In addition, from the Faculty of Agrotechnology and Environmental Management, students Kateryna Martiian and Nadiia Serhiienko were included in the register, and from the Faculty of Biology and Technology, student Tetiana Dovbnia.

It is important to note that such a number of experts included in the register during this period is the highest indicator in the entire region.

This achievement is a significant evidence of the high level of scientific and educational potential of Sumy National Agrarian University. The entire university community is proud of the involvement of its representatives in the work of the National Academy of Higher Education and is aware of the importance of joint efforts in improving the quality of higher education in Ukraine. We are confident that active participation in these processes will contribute to the further development of SNAU, strengthening its position among the leading universities in the country, and increasing the competitiveness of our graduates in the modern labour market.
