SNAU ENTERED THE “TOP-200 UKRAINE 2023” RATING

Every year, experts and organizations evaluate Ukrainian institutions of higher education according to several criteria, based on which they compile the ranking of universities “Top-200 Ukraine”.

Sumy National Agrarian University does not lose positions! This year, our institution of higher education took 67th place among all Ukrainian institutions, 3rd place among agricultural higher education institutions.

“Top-200 Ukraine 2023” is the seventeenth academic ranking of institutions of higher education, created by the centre of international projects “Euroeducation” in cooperation with the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence group of experts.

When forming the rating, special attention was paid to the adaptation of institutions to the challenges of the spread of the Coronavirus and the start of a full-scale war.

Among the evaluation criteria:

  • academic activity (according to QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education World University Rankings);
  • scientific and publishing activity (according to Scopus indicators);
  • evaluation of scientific and research achievements of universities by monitoring their Internet sites (according to Webometrics indicators);
  • achievement of higher education institutions in terms of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (according to THE University Impact Rankings);
  • quality of presentation and popularity of higher education institutions in the Internet space based on independent webometric indicators (according to UniRank indicators);
  • educational and scientific work (according to the indicators of the effectiveness of the participation of higher education institutions of Ukraine in scientific project competitions and the number of prizes of the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for young scientists);
  • inventive activity (according to indicators of the number of patents received by university scientists);
  • attractiveness of the university for applicants (according to the number of applications submitted by applicants and the average competitive score). Each of the criteria had its own indicator according to priority.

The rating “Top-200 Ukraine 2023” is not the only achievement that the Sumy NAU can boast of this year. For example, we increased the number of publications in Scopus
