In January 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Sumy between Sumy National Agrarian University and the Department of Mass Sports in Sumy Region of the state institution “All-Ukrainian Center for Public Health ‘Agency for School, Student, and Mass Sports of Ukraine’”. This document laid the foundation for systematic interaction between the parties in the field of preserving and strengthening public health at the regional level.
SNAU’s partner — the Department of Mass Sports in Sumy Region — is a structural unit of a state institution that implements national policy in the field of public physical health, promotes the development of student and mass sports, and coordinates relevant initiatives within the region.
The purpose of the signed Memorandum is to establish a long-term partnership aimed at promoting physical culture, a healthy lifestyle, and regular physical activity among students. The cooperation is based on the principles of voluntariness, transparency, equality, and the absence of financial obligations. It provides for the joint implementation of projects, educational, health-improving, and sports activities, including participation in national and regional programs.
For Sumy National Agrarian University this new partnership opens additional opportunities for the development of student sports, improving the physical and mental well-being of students, engaging young people in regular health-oriented initiatives, and participating in large-scale regional and national projects in the fields of health and physical activity.
