On September 23, Sumy National Agrarian University held a ceremony to honor leading representatives of the university’s sports community — students and teachers. The event was dedicated to the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, traditionally celebrated in Ukraine on September 13.
In his welcome speech, SNAU Rector Ihor Kovalenko emphasized the importance of athletic achievements within the university community:
“Our university has always had people we are proud of and whose achievements inspire and impress. Thank you for spending your leisure time actively and winning awards. Happy Sports Day!“
For significant contributions to the development of sports at the university, high achievements in athletic activities and strengthening the image of SNAU, the Rector awarded: Andrii Boiar, Maryna Koshova, Roman Holikov, Stanislav Sidash, Bohdan Korniienko, Maksym Holets, Andrii Makarenko, Andrii Omelchenko, Oleksandra Siroshtan, Kateryna Protchenko, and Denys Zhyher.
For active participation in the university’s sports life, commendations were also awarded to: Andrii Kolodnenko, Danylo Toderiuk, Serhii Kholodnyi, Iryna Lobachova, and Mykhailo Osoblyvets.
In addition, for high professionalism and significant contributions to the development of sports at the university, Rector’s awards were presented to: Ihor Holovach, Iryna Samokhvalova, Viktor Serhiienko, Serhii Kharchenko, Yevhen Yevtushenko, Serhii Butenko, Heorhii Vodchak, Viacheslav Pylypenko, Vladyslav Kovalenko, Ivan Salatenko, Anna Sakhnenko, Bohdan Pinchuk, Volodymyr Yefanov, Oleksandr Maslak, and Dmytro Kozakov.
The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the exemplary modern ballroom dance ensemble SWAY, which performed “Cool Girl” and “I am Ukraine,” captivating the audience with grace and emotional expression.
Sumy National Agrarian University is proud of its active students and teachers, who honorably represent the university in sports.
