During the 2022 enrollment campaign, applicants and members of the enrollment committee faced unforeseen problems related to martial law: a new format of entrance exams, evaluation of motivation letters, passing tests in different parts of the world, remote submission of study documents. Being located near the border with the aggressor state, having survived a terrible occupation, Sumy National Agrarian University was able to overcome obstacles.
The information system “Vstup.OSVITA.UA” compiled a ranking of higher education institutions by the number of people enrolled in studies with the funds of the state and local budgets.
According to the indicator “Enrolled in the budget”, Sumy NAU ranked 46th positions among higher education institutions of Ukraine.
SNAU enrolled 373 people on the budget in 2022, 576 people on the contract form of education (58th place among higher education institutions of Ukraine).
V. LADYKA, Rector of the Sumy National University, comments: “40 kilometers from the border, we reliably hold the educational front. The structure of recruitment by gender hasn’t changed compared to previous years.”
We are confident that the 2023 enrollment campaign will be even more successful, as we have already adapted to the challenges of martial law.
