On January 19–20, a founding meeting was held in Wroclaw (Republic of Poland) within the framework of the international project Institutional Accreditation for Sustainable Progress, Innovation and Excellence of Ukrainian Higher Education System towards European Integration, which is implemented with the support of the Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine. Sumy National Agrarian University became one of the higher education institutions that represented Ukraine at the starting stage of the implementation of this large-scale European project.
The meeting was dedicated to the launch of the project, discussion of its strategic goals, objectives and implementation mechanisms. The project is aimed at improving the system of institutional accreditation of higher education institutions in Ukraine, strengthening the culture of quality, increasing trust in Ukrainian higher education and its harmonization with European standards in the context of European integration processes.
Higher education institutions from Ukraine, Poland, Germany and Norway, as well as key national institutions – the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education – joined the project, which emphasizes the high level of initiative and its systemic importance for the development of the educational sphere.
Sumy National Agrarian University was represented at the inaugural meeting by Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Educational Work Marharyta Lyshenko and Head of the International Relations Department Nataliia Volchenko, who worked fruitfully together with international partners to coordinate organizational aspects and form a common vision for the further implementation of the project.
SNAU’s participation in this international conference opens up new opportunities for strengthening the quality of the university’s educational and scientific activities, integrating European quality management practices and expanding international cooperation. Participation in projects of this level is an important marker that Sumy National Agrarian University is a powerful educational and scientific institution that actively participates in developing solutions and influencing socially important processes of development of the higher education system of Ukraine.
