Osvita.ua has published the annual ranking of Ukrainian universities according to the Scopus scientometric database. According to the results of the monitoring conducted in May 2025, Sumy National Agrarian University moved up 6 positions compared to last year and took 35th place among Ukrainian higher education institutions.
The ranking is based on the Hirsch index, a quantitative indicator that takes into account both the number of scientific publications and the frequency of their citation in international scientific sources. The Scopus database, which covers more than 30,000 reputable publications in the fields of engineering, medicine, natural sciences and humanities, is one of the most important in the global system of scientific
communication.
In 2024, SNAU scientists published 248 scientific articles, many of which were created in international cooperation, in particular with scientists from China, Poland, the United Kingdom and France. It is worth noting that most of the university’s publications are published in Q1 and Q2 quartile journals, which indicates their high scientific level and international recognition.
SNAU continues to develop actively its research activities, strengthen international partnerships and improve the quality of academic research, strengthening its position among the leaders of agricultural education and science in Ukraine.
