Sumy National Agrarian University was presented at the forum on the reconstruction of Ukraine “Supporting Ukraine for Humanitarian Aids & Rebuilding Projects”, held in Warsaw on May 22 and 23. The project brought together South Korean and Polish businesses and heads of territorial communities of Ukraine. The delegate from our university was Ihor Kovalenko, Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work.
During the conference, the participants discussed issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea in the following areas: infrastructure, agro-industry, medicine, IT, logistics and transport. In addition, panel discussions were held on the state of the reconstruction project and development strategy of Ukraine, on the state of the humanitarian aid project for Ukraine. As part of the forum, a session was held involving the business community of Poland and Korea regarding participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The result of our educational institution’s participation in the forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on academic exchanges and cooperation between Sumy National Agrarian University and Gyeongsang National University.
Gyeongsang National University is ranked 67th in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. The educational institution is also included in the 1001+ group in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. This University is accredited by the Korean Ministry of Education and KCUE or the Korea Council for University Education. The institution is also among the top 300 universities in the world for studying agriculture and forestry according to QS Top Universities.
We are confident that we will be able to improve the education system of our university, expanding the boundaries of cooperation, interacting with world institutions of higher education. The memorandum signed with Gyeongsang National University provides opportunities for participation in international student exchanges and the development of research, scientific and educational projects.
