From November 21 to 23, the World Cup in Cossack combat took place in Bregenz, Austria. Leading athletes from different countries participated in the tournament, and the Ukrainian national team included a representative from Sumy region — Andriy Boyar, a student of the Law Faculty of Sumy National Agrarian University.
The world competition, which brought together 2,285 participants from 13 countries, demonstrated exceptional scale and high level of organization this year. The tournament covered a wide range of nominations and disciplines that required maximum endurance, technical skill, and psychological stability from the athletes. The status of the World Cup ensured that the event received special attention from the international sports community.
The Ukrainian national team also included fighters from Trostianets — students of the Top Team Trostianets Martial Arts Academy. Among them was Andriy Boyar, a third-year student at the SNAU Law Faculty, a multiple champion and master of sports in Cossack combat, who traditionally demonstrates a high level of training in international arenas.
According to the results of the World Cup, athletes from Sumy region won 10 medals and secured third place for the Ukrainian team.
