On 11 June 2025, a mixed format student conference was held at Sumy National Agrarian University, where students approved the results of a secret ballot to elect a new student rector and a student rector’s team.
According to the agenda of the conference, student ex-rector Diana Derevianchenko reported on the work of the team during the academic year 2024-2025 before announcing the results. Innovations in scientific, sporting, cultural and public events, successful volunteer initiatives and the most vivid memories of her term were announced.
From 9 to 10 June, all students of Sumy NAU had the opportunity to vote for one of the candidates for the post of student rector of the university. This time, Aliona Popova, a student of the Faculty of Food Technologies, and Andrii Kolodnenko, a student of the Faculty of Law, competed.
The head of the election commission, Maryna Kosheva, announced the results of the secret ballot, which resulted in a narrow victory for Andrii Kolodnenko and his team:
The newly elected team presented its plan for the development of the activities for the academic year 2025-2026 and called for more active involvement in various initiatives, as this is the only way to make student life at the university truly unforgettable.
