SNAU Supports Talented Youth at the All-Ukrainian Junior Academy of Sciences Competition in IT and VR

On February 26, 2026, the second stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of research students’ papers — members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took place in the section “Educational and Game Programs and Virtual Reality. Representatives of Sumy National Agrarian University joined the competition jury — researchers from the Department of Cybernetics and Informatics.

The jury was headed by Ihor Volodymyrovych Shelekhov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Cybernetics and Informatics at SNAU. Yana Volodymyrivna Dolhikh, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor of the same department, served as a member of the jury.

The competition aims to develop students’ research activities in the field of information technologies, support talented youth, and promote innovative developments. Participants presented their own research projects and software solutions related to the development of educational game programs, interactive digital products, and virtual reality technologies.

The defense of the research projects was held in the format of an open discussion between the students and the members of the jury. This format allowed participants not only to present the results of their research but also to demonstrate their skills in argumentation, scientific analysis, and presentation of innovative ideas.

The presented projects stood out for their scientific novelty, practical significance, and creative approaches to the use of modern information technologies. Participation in the competition became an important step for the students in developing research competencies and a motivation for further work in the fields of programming, game design, and VR technologies.

The involvement of SNAU researchers in the jury of such events is an important element of the university’s cooperation with the educational and scientific community of Ukraine. This interaction contributes to supporting young researchers, developing their scientific interests, and shaping a new generation of specialists in the field of information technologies.
