On June 19, 2025, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the 18th National Competition “Charitable Ukraine 2024” was held in Kyiv, in which, among 1,790 applications in 25 nominations, a representative of Sumy National Agrarian University took third place in one of them.
Volunteers, benefactors, representatives of public organizations, international partners, as well as the guest of honor – Olena Zelenska, gathered to participate in the ceremony. As the First Lady of Ukraine noted:
“While defenders hold the defense, thousands and even millions of volunteers hold the defense and the country. Self-organization and cooperation to help others have become a real superpower of our time and all of Ukraine.”
The purpose of the competition is to support and encourage volunteers to help those in need. After all, understanding modern realities, we realize the importance of even the smallest good deeds.
Svitlana Zinchenko, a lecturer at the Department of Administrative and Information Law of the Faculty of Law of Sumy National Agrarian University, took an honorable third place in the nomination “Volunteer of the Year”.
Volunteering is an important skill of modern society, which gives people hope and faith in a better future. We are proud of those who do not stand aside when others are in trouble. Thank you for your desire and courage!
