STUDENTS OF “SNAU COLLEGES” SPENT AN ACTIVE WEEK IN SNAU

Published: May 2, 2023

During the period of joint activity Sumy National Agrarian University and its separate structural subdivisions have become one big family. A year of full-scale invasion has brought us together. Together we helped the injured students when an aerial bomb hit the territory of the Sumy Professional College of SNAU. We collected humanitarian aid together for the “Malovystoropskyi Professional College of SNAU” when the institution was occupied by russian troops. Many others volunteered, held charity events and started educational and extracurricular projects.

Recently the student activists of all separate subdivisions have gathered in SNAU. Many of the college students have visited Sumy NAU for the first time. They were very impressed by the event.

Together with the youth of our higher education institution, college students visited each faculty, got acquainted with the administration and teachers. The SNAU Promotion Office held a workshop, during which some interesting facts about the University’s activities were told to college students. Liudmyla Mykhailenko, a psychologist of the Department for organizing educational activity with SNAU students, developed and held a training “Communication Skills in Leadership” and a psychological and business game “A Model of an Effective Manager”. Karen Ahadzhanov-Honsales held the IT workshop “The Atlassian projects management ecosystem”. Participants enjoyed coffee during a master class prepared by Diana Derevianchenko.  Oleksandr Kovalenko, Head of the Department of Tourism, told students incredibly interesting facts about Sumy. They also planted an “Alley of Unity”, which symbolizes fruitful cooperation and friendly relations. The joint week with college students ended with a visit to the “Children’s home”.

Svitlana Zinchenko, Head of the Department for organizing educational activity with SNAU students, comments on: “Such meetings are very important. They not only unite the team, but also develop the leadership abilities of participants, help to find the right professional path and psychologically reboot. We were happy to spend this week with students of SNAU colleges. You are active, purposeful and positive. The doors of Sumy National Agrarian University are always open for you!”

Together we are stronger and more active! We hope that the tradition of gathering together with the students of SNAU colleges will become an annual and joyful one for all participants.
