Sumy National Agrarian University attended a large-scale event – Agro Ukraine Summit 2025, which took place on June 6, 2025 in Kyiv. The Summit became a significant international agricultural event that brought together key stakeholders in the agricultural and food sectors of Ukraine, as well as a platform for open national dialogue, cooperation, exchange of ideas and the formation of a common vision of the future of the Ukrainian agri-food space.
The event was supported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and organized by: Ukrainian Grain Association, Ukrainian Agribusiness Club, All-Ukraine Agrarian Council, Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Ukrharchprom, Ukrainian Bean and Soybean Association, Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine, All-Ukraine Farmers’ Congress, Ukrainian Facility Platform and ProAgro Group.
It should be noted that the chair of the programme committee was Olha Trofimtseva, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in 2019, who is a graduater from the Putivl College of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences.
Representatives of government agencies, farmers, agribusiness, international partners, academitions and politicians gathered to discuss the challenges and prospects for the development of the industry, integration into the European Union and the introduction of innovative approaches to agriculture.
The event programme included Agro Ukraine Summit, AGTECH FORUM, Futurology or the Future of Grain Storage, Efficient Livestock and Poultry Farming, Processing Trends in Crop Production, and Solar Agro Conference, which included lectures by more than 140 Ukrainian and foreign speakers on various topics related to the agricultural sector.
During the Summit, the Agro Ukraine Expo exhibition was held, where among more than a hundred stands, SNAU was the only university to present a unique educational programme of double diplomas of the second (master’s) level of higher education – ‘Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security’, implemented in cooperation with the Royal Agricultural University (UK).
The double degree programme offers not only diplomas from two universities – Ukrainian and British – but also education in English, which ensures a high level of international communication, full coverage of tuition fees through an international grant, and even the opportunity to take the international B2 Pearson certificate exam directly at the SNAU.
Thanks for the invitation to join the powerful community of agricultural professionals and the opportunity to present our unique programme! Such events are an incredible opportunity for us not only to find new partners, but also to offer them well-trained specialists who will be able to develop Ukrainian agribusiness with their knowledge and work.
