On November 10, 2022, the World Day of Science for Peace and Development, the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine traditionally held a popular event “The Night of Youth Science-2022 in the Conditions of War” in online format.
The event was opened by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet and Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science Olesia Vashchuk.
The event was attended by 50 young scientists from different regions of Ukraine. Among them was Svitlana YAROSHCHUK, a senior researcher at Sumy National Agrarian University, with a presentation “Conservation and Reproduction of Protective Forest Stands in the North-Eastern Forest-steppe of Ukraine on the example of the EU Experience”.
Svitlana YAROSHCHUK explained why it is important to preserve and reproduce the forest belts of Ukraine, and reported on examples of preserving protective forest stands in the European Union using the latest direction of farming – agroforestry.
