The SNAU team completed training for the second module of the Professional Development Program for Academic Managers

On December 2–5, 2025, a delegation from Sumy National Agrarian University took part in the second module of the Professional Development Program for Academic Managers, which was held in Kyiv at Mariupol State University.

The program is implemented as a joint initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the British Council within the framework of the World Bank project “Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results” (UIHERP). Its main goal is to develop a modern model of academic leadership, strategic vision, and management competencies for representatives of higher education institutions.

Participants in the module worked on issues of strategic development of universities, implementation of open science principles, features of educational policy, analysis of the external and internal environment, as well as effective communication and teamwork.

The training sessions were conducted by leading Ukrainian experts: Andriy Stoyka, Oleh Sharov, Larysa Shaulska, Oleksandr Aziukovsky, Tetiana Marena, Svitlana Kalinina, Iryna Drach, Maksym Folomeyev, and Yulia Demidova.

SNAU was represented at the event by:

  • Natalia Bolhova, Dean of the Faculty of Food Technology (group leader);
  • Vladislav Zubko, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology;
  • Lyudmila Nahorna, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine;
  • Natalia Parshykova, Director of the Digitalization Center;
  • Natalia Zhurbenko, Head of the Planning and Finance Department;
  • Roman Yaroshchuk, Head of the Research Department;
  • Marina Kuznetsova, Deputy Dean for Educational Work at the Faculty of Law.

Following the second module, the SNAU team noted that participation in the Program had strengthened their university’s management potential, contributed to the formation of practical solutions for institutional development, and deepened professional competencies in the field of academic management.

The university expresses its sincere gratitude to the British Council and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the opportunity to join a professional community that is shaping a new quality of Ukrainian higher education.
