From now, the former name of Zoia Kosmodemianska street will change to Ivan Briukhovetskii street. This decision was made by the deputies of the city council during the XXVIII session. Previously, the relevant decision was supported by the public.
Ivan Briukhovetskii is the First Rector of the Sumy National Agrarian University, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine. This person made incredible efforts to the formation and development of SNAU. During the twenty years of Ivan Briukhovetskii’s leadership, the Sumy branch of the Kharkiv Agricultural Institute named after V.V. Dokuchaev started its work, took its first steps in the scientific field. Subsequently, in 1990, with the assistance of the Academician, the Sumy Agricultural Institute was established on the basis of the branch, and in 1997 it was granted the status of a university.
Ivan Briukhovetskii is a scientist who has led SNAU on the path to success and prosperity since the beginning of the existence of our institution of higher education.
We are incredibly proud of such a personality that was in the history of the university.
