On January 5, Sumy National Agrarian University launched the 2026 Winter School “My Choice – My Future,” a career guidance educational project for 10th and 11th grade students aimed at helping them make informed choices about their future careers and learn about modern, in-demand professions. The event is held in a mixed format: offline at the university’s main building and online on the Zoom platform, which allows participants from different regions of Ukraine to join.
On the first day of the Winter School, participants had the opportunity to learn about the educational opportunities offered by the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Construction and Transport. The program of the Faculty of Economics and Management began with a welcome speech by the dean, “Level Up Your Future,” and the grand opening of the Winter Business School: LevelUp, which is implemented according to the concept of “learning through action.” Throughout the day, students worked in project teams, analyzed promising areas of economic development, formed business ideas, and developed their own business models using the Business Model Canvas methodology. Special attention was paid to the development of managerial and financial competencies — participants underwent team-building training, took part in a SWOT battle of projects, worked with a startup financial simulator, calculated the break-even point, expenses, and start-up capital, and learned about the legal and tax aspects of entrepreneurial activity.
The second part of the day was devoted to the Faculty of Construction and Transport. After a welcome speech by the dean, participants joined the quest “Construction and Transport of the Future,” organized by the faculty’s student government, and took part in an interactive quiz “Research on Energy Efficiency of Buildings,” during which they discussed modern engineering solutions, energy-saving technologies, and principles of sustainable development.
The SNAU Winter School will last until January 9, 2026. Ahead are introductions to other faculties, practical classes, interactive learning formats, and individual career guidance work with schoolchildren.
