UNITWIN SNAU international project among partners in twin transition skills development

Published: January 29, 2026

The first face-to-face meeting of the consortium of the new international UNITWIN project took place in Lisbon (Portugal) at the leading European technical university Instituto Superior Técnico. Sumy National Agrarian University was represented at the event by Yurii Danko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Activities, Olena Nifatova, Professor of the Department of Marketing and Logistics, and Kseniia Blumska-Danko, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing and Logistics.

The UNITWIN project aims to strengthen the competencies of students and company employees in the context of Twin Transition – the combination of green and digital transformation in corporate governance. During the meeting, the partners focused on discussing the practical aspects of the project implementation and developing a detailed action plan in accordance with the requirements of the European Commission.

The UNITWIN consortium brings together five universities from Ukraine and partners from Portugal, Spain, and Sweden. The working sessions were devoted to agreeing on the roles of partners, internal coordination, and defining the key stages of project implementation.

An important area of Sumy National Agrarian University’s participation in the UNITWIN project is its responsibility for developing a methodology for identifying stakeholder needs in terms of skills for Twin Transition (green and digital transformation). This component involves a systematic analysis of the expectations of employers and stakeholders, the identification of skills gaps, and the formation of a scientifically sound basis for the further development of training programs and educational courses within the project.

During the meeting, participants also presented their universities’ capabilities for implementing the project and discussed approaches to ensuring the quality of results and the long-term sustainability of the initiative.

The participation of Sumy National Agrarian University in the UNITWIN project is another step in the development of international cooperation, strengthening the university’s expertise in the field of green and digital transformation, and integrating SNAU into the European educational and scientific space.
