Department for Student Affairs and Educational Work

The concept of educational work with students at Sumy National Agrarian University serves as an effective foundation for preparing future professionals for independent work, as well as for active and creative engagement in life.

Educational work is interpreted as an important factor in shaping students’ conscious patriotism and their sense of responsibility as citizens of Ukraine. The aim of educational work at Sumy National Agrarian University is to form a socially responsible and intelligent individual who identifies with the Ukrainian people, shows respect for state symbols, national values, the Ukrainian language, history, and the cultures of other nationalities, preserves and develops the cultural and historical traditions of the nation, and promotes universal moral values.

The main areas of activity of the department for Student Affairs and Educational Work are listed below.

Development and implementation of educational programs:

  • Creating a plan of educational activities for the semester/academic year.
  • Organizing patriotic, cultural, sporting, and environmental events.

Formation of civic awareness and moral values:

  • Holding events dedicated to national holidays.
  • Supporting student volunteer initiatives.

Prevention of offenses and harmful habits:

  • Conducting informational campaigns.
  • Cooperation with medical services, law enforcement, and civil organizations.

Providing conditions for student self-realization:

  • Supporting student self-government.
  • Organizing competitions, festivals, and workshops.

Integration of students into academic and social life:

  • Adapting first-year students.
  • Conducting team-building trainings.
  • Supporting students from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

Collaboration with other departments and external organizations:

  • Involving partners in educational activities.
  • Exchanging experience with other institutions of higher education.
