General information Sumy International College of the Henan Institute of Science and Technology

Sumy International College of Henan Institute of Science and Technology is a Chinese-Ukrainian educational institution jointly established by the Henan Institute of Science and Technology and Sumy National Agrarian University. The first cohort of higher education students was enrolled in 2022, totaling 298 students. Currently, the college has over 500 students.

The aim of the college is to create an innovative intercultural Ukrainian-Chinese educational environment, implement advanced technologies in the educational process, promote scientific development, enhance the quality of education, and ensure its mobility and competitiveness in the global educational market.

The main objectives of the college are:

  • to provide high-quality educational services to college students in accordance with the standards of higher education in Ukraine;
  • to coordinate the activities of academic staff involved in the college’s educational process;
  • to organize, coordinate, and monitor the educational and scientific activities of higher education students at the college;
  • to manage the work of the selection committee responsible for choosing candidates from the SNAU academic staff to support the college’s educational process;
  • to promote scientific activity through the organization and implementation of joint research projects between SNAU and HIST;
  • to establish and develop international cooperation between SNAU and HIST.

The college offers education in four specialties:

  • Veterinary Medicine
  • Agronomy
  • Management
  • Food Technologies

The educational process is carried out jointly by Ukrainian and Chinese lecturers. Upon graduation, students receive two diplomas — one from the Henan Institute and one from SNAU — ensuring international recognition of their qualifications.

As part of the collaboration, SNAU lecturers regularly visit the Henan Institute to conduct lectures and practical classes. In particular, in 2024 and 2025, a delegation from SNAU carried out a 40-day internship, during which they taught specialized courses and organized English-speaking clubs for Chinese students.

This educational project contributes to the international integration of Ukrainian higher education and opens new opportunities for students from both countries. Graduates of the college have the opportunity to continue their education or begin their professional careers in either Ukraine or China.
