Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department

The Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of Sumy National Agrarian University is a subdivision of the university that carries out planning, organisation, control of training and certification of scientific and pedagogical staff of higher qualification.

The main goal of the Department is to organise and manage the processes of training and certification of applicants for the third (educational and scientific) level and scientific level of higher education at the university level.

The main areas of activity of the department in organising the process of training of highly qualified scientific personnel are

  • analyse the availability of highly qualified scientific personnel for the departments;
  • coordinate, keep records and control the process of training Doctors of Philosophy and Doctors of Science at the University;
  • to carry out current control, formulate draft perspective and annual plans for the training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff, as well as summarise the results of their implementation;
  • to organise and control the work of one-time specialised academic councils;
  • to provide the necessary organisational, methodological and advisory assistance to postgraduate students, doctoral students and applicants, etc.
