International cooperation

Achievements of the scientific laboratory

2023–2024 – The project “Restoring recreative potential of damaged forests for human well-being in V4 and post-war Ukraine” is being implemented in cooperation with the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland), the Czech University of Life Sciences (Czech Republic), and the Technical University in Zvolen (Slovakia), with the support of the International Visegrad Fund (IVF).

2022 – Project supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic: “Effectiveness of cover crops in organic Ginkgo biloba plantations.” The aim was to study certain cover crop species in a Ginkgo biloba L. field and their impact on soil indicators for a deeper understanding of the influence mechanisms.

2022 – Participant in the COST Action CA19123 project: “Protection, Resilience, Rehabilitation of damaged environment (PHOENIX).”

2021 – “Cultural-tourist route through the Lyschynsky heritage.” The project aimed to create a favorable environment for green tourism on the territory of the Lyschynsky estate (village of Kyyanytsia). Supported by the project “Strengthening Cross-sectoral Cooperation for Social Cohesion (SC3),” co-financed by the European Union and the British Council in Ukraine.

2020 – GIST Innovations in Ukraine. Project: “Ginkgo biloba.” The project aimed to study:

  1. Cultivation of Ginkgo biloba in organic fields in Ukraine certified according to international standards;
  2. Cost-effective methods for extracting raw materials from the studied species;
  3. Development of preventive preparations to improve the health of people living in urban environments.

2020–2021 – “Biological and ecological features of cultivating Ginkgo biloba L. and the development of preventive preparations and functional foods from extracts of organic leaves of the studied species for the health improvement of urban populations.” Joint project with the Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague, and Sumy NAU, Sumy State University, BNAU, KhNAU, and Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, titled “Agricultural Science Platform for Strengthening Science in Higher Education in Ukraine.”

2017–2021 – Project: “Prospects for the use of valuable introduced species for the creation of forest plantations in the conditions of the Northeastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine.” State registration number: 0117U003054

2017–2020 – Young scientists’ project under the Ministry of Education and Science: “Biological and ecological features of cultivating Ginkgo biloba L. as an organic raw material for pharmaceutical purposes by creating plantations in the conditions of the Northeastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine.” State registration number: 0117U006533

2021 – As a result of coordinated work by researchers, Sumy National Agrarian University received a certificate from LLC “Organic Standard,” confirming that the operator (field with the organic Ginkgo biloba plantation) is certified according to the standard recognized as equivalent to EU Regulations No. 834/2007 and No. 889/2008.
