On 19 May 2026, a seminar for academic staff was held at Sumy National Agrarian University, focusing on the preparation of syllabuses for educational modules.
The seminar was led by Olena RYBINA, Head of the Department of Educational Quality, Licensing and Accreditation at SNAU. During the meeting, participants discussed key requirements for the structure of syllabuses, common mistakes made during their preparation, as well as practical issues regarding formatting, approval, registration and publication. Particular attention was paid to linking the learning outcomes of the educational component with the programme outcomes, the use of the SMART approach and Bloom’s taxonomy, as well as aligning learning outcomes with the subject content, teaching methods and assessment. The discussion also covered common mistakes that frequently arise during the preparation of syllabuses and which may affect the quality of the educational component.
The seminar forms part of Sumy NAU’s systematic work on developing internal quality assurance in education and fostering a culture of quality, accountability and transparency in the educational process.
