A new Student council has been elected at SNAU for the 2026–2027 academic year

On 17 June 2026, a student conference was held at Sumy National Agrarian University, during which the work of the student council over the past year was reviewed, the results of the student rector election were confirmed, and the new composition of the student council for the 2026–2027 academic year was announced.

At the start of the meeting, Andrii Kolodnenko, a student at the Faculty of Law and Student Rector of SNAU for the 2025–2026 academic year, presented a final report on the activities of the Student Rector’s Office during his term of office. He presented the results of the team’s work, which over the course of the year had organised cultural, volunteer, charitable and career guidance initiatives, coordinated the activities of the faculties’ student councils, represented the university at youth forums and competitions, and contributed to supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Following an open vote, the conference delegates deemed the work of the Student Rector’s Office to be satisfactory

The next item on the agenda was the approval of the results of the student rector election. Daniil Mordvinov, Chair of the Central Electoral Commission of the Student Council, presented a report on the organisation and conduct of the election campaign. Voting took place online via students’ personal accounts on the Moodle platform. A total of 837 students took part in the election, of whom 754 (90.1 per cent) supported the candidacy of Andrii Makarenko.

Following the confirmation of the election results, the newly elected student rector, Andrii Makarenko, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Economics and Management, presented the composition of the new student rectorate team to the conference delegates.

The SNAU Student Rectorate for the 2026–2027 academic year comprises:

• Andrii Makarenko — Student Rector, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Economics and Management;

• Denys Trypolskyi — First Deputy Student Rector, a second-year student at the Faculty of Construction and Transport;

• Tetyana Dovbnia — Secretary of the Student Council, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Biology and Technology;

• Yehor Koropets — Deputy for Career Guidance, a third-year student at the Faculty of Law;

• Anna Sinyahovska — SMM Manager, fifth-year (1M) student at the Faculty of Agricultural Technologies and Environmental Management;

• Kseniia Atorina — Deputy for Volunteer Activities, third-year student at the Faculty of Agricultural Technologies and Environmental Management;

• Viktoria Tokar — Deputy for Cultural Development, third-year student at the Faculty of Law;

• Vadym Moroz — Deputy for Sports Activities, third-year student at the Faculty of Law;

• Roman Miroshnichenko — Deputy for Social Welfare, second-year student at the Faculty of Economics and Management;

• Aliona Popova — Deputy for Academic, Research and International Affairs, fourth-year student at the Faculty of Food Technology.

During the conference, Andrii Makarenko also presented the strategic plan for the Student Rector’s Office for the new term of office. Among the priority areas of activity are strengthening career guidance, developing cooperation with SNAU’s pre-higher vocational education institutions to ensure continuity of learning and increase the number of applicants to the university, as well as expanding partnerships with business representatives to create new opportunities for work placements, practical training and subsequent employment for students..

We congratulate the newly elected Student Council on the start of their office term and wish them every success in implementing all their planned initiatives. At the same time, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the Student Council for the 2025–2026 academic year for their hard work, dedication and significant contribution to the development of student self-governance at Sumy National Agrarian University.
