Throughout the week leading up to Easter, a special festive atmosphere prevailed at Sumy National Agrarian University. Students from all faculties actively participated in organizing and taking part in themed events aimed at preserving and promoting Ukrainian traditions.
One of the most vibrant events was the “Easter Tree of Life” competition, during which faculty teams presented their own creative approaches to decorating cherry blossom trees. The participants demonstrated not only aesthetic vision but also a deep understanding of Easter symbolism, combining traditional motifs with modern design solutions.
The event was organized by the Department for Student Affairs and Educational Work at SNAU, which ensured a high level of organization and created opportunities for students’ creative self-expression.
According to the jury’s evaluation, the highest award was won by the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Transport. The Audience Choice Award went to the Faculty of Food Technologies, which design received the strongest response from participants and guests.
The Faculty of Economics and Management stood out in its own right, demonstrating an unconventional approach by choosing a concept of environmental responsibility: instead of decorating trees, the students decorated the faculty premises, highlighting the natural beauty of the cherry blossoms on the university grounds.
Holding such events contributes to the development of culture, fosters students’ creative thinking and strengthens interfaculty cooperation, reinforcing SNAU as a space of traditions, creativity and unity.
