More than 130 lecturers from Sumy National Agrarian University took part in a practical online training session focused on implementing legal requirements for signing qualification papers with a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) and making them publicly available before their defence.
On 3 November 2026, at the initiative of SNAU’s Department of Education Quality, Licensing and Accreditation, a training session was held to facilitate the practical implementation of the provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity” and establish a unified approach to organising the publication of qualification papers at the university.
Olena Rybina, Head of the Department, presented the practical aspects of implementing the legislative requirements. During the event, participants reviewed the algorithm for preparing qualification papers for publication, the specific details of applying and verifying the qualified electronic signature (QES) of students, and the procedure for placing papers in the university’s institutional repository.
Particular attention was paid to compliance with the university-established deadlines for making qualification papers publicly available before their defence, the distribution of responsibilities among academic departments, faculties, the university library and examination boards, as well as coordination among all participants involved in the process.
The training session featured an active professional discussion. Participants raised questions concerning the practical application of the new requirements and organisational aspects of their implementation. The lively discussion highlighted the relevance of the issues addressed and the importance of jointly developing effective solutions.
The implementation of a transparent mechanism for publishing qualification papers is an important step towards strengthening the culture of academic integrity, ensuring the transparency and accessibility of learning outcomes, and further developing SNAU’s internal quality assurance system in education.
