On April 6, an international workshop titled “Sustainable Development of Renewable Energy: Economic, Managerial, and Technological Aspects” held at Sumy National Agrarian University. The event brought together experts, researchers, practitioners, and students to discuss current challenges in the modern energy market.
The workshop was organized by the Department of Public Administration and Management of the Faculty of Economics and Management at SNAU in partnership with Weihenstephan–Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
About 102 participants from leading agricultural higher education institutions of Ukraine joined the event, including representatives of SNAU, demonstrating a high level of interest in issues related to sustainable energy development.
The key speakers of the workshop were Georg Schauer, Head of the Energy Department at the Competence Center for Energy and Agricultural Engineering (Triesdorf, Germany), and Christian Schindler, a representative of Weihenstephan–Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences and the owner of an agricultural enterprise.
On the first day, participants focused on discussing technological and investment aspects of renewable energy development. Special attention was given to current trends in bioenergy-based heating systems as one of the key areas for ensuring energy sustainability.
The organization of this workshop confirms the active involvement of Sumy National Agrarian University in the development of international scientific cooperation and the implementation of modern approaches to training specialists in the field of energy. This is essential for the sustainable development of the economy and the energy security of Ukraine.
