On May 26, 2026, during a meeting of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, a decision was made to grant the “Agronomy” educational and research program at Sumy National Agrarian University—a third-level (educational and research) higher education program—the status of exemplary accreditation.
For Sumy National Agrarian University, this was a historic achievement and the highest confirmation of the quality of its educational, scientific, and research activities. This decision is particularly significant because SNAU became the first institution of higher education in Ukraine to receive exemplary accreditation status for the “Agronomy” program at the PhD level.
SNAU expresses its sincere gratitude to the program’s guarantor, Andrii Melnyk; the project team of the “Agronomy” National Scientific Partnership; the faculty; graduate students; experts from the National Agency; and all stakeholders who have supported the program’s development.
As part of the program, SNAU graduate students and researchers conduct scientific research that is unique in Ukraine, including analyzing soil conditions in border regions, working on certified organic research plots, conducting research commissioned by international partners and the agricultural sector, and participating in national and international grant programs.
The award of exemplary accreditation has once again confirmed that Sumy National Agrarian University is a leading center of research and education that, even amid the war, continues to advance agricultural science, implement innovative approaches, and train highly qualified professionals for Ukraine’s future.
