On June 24, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted its traditional “Coffee with the Rector” meeting, which brought together the university administration and representatives of the student government.
This year, two terms of the student council participated in the event—the newly elected team for the 2026–2027 academic year and members of the previous council, who completed their term in the 2025–2026 academic year.
In an informal setting, participants discussed the priority areas of the student government’s activities, the new team’s strategic plans, the prospects for developing student initiatives, and the further expansion of SNAU’s student space—both physical and digital. Special attention was given to the development of career guidance, cooperation between the student government and the university administration, and the creation of new opportunities for students to realize their potential.
As SNAU Rector Ihor Kovalenko emphasized, such meetings are an important tradition at the university. They provide an opportunity not only to take stock of the work done but also to reflect on the experience gained, thank the team that has completed its term, and outline a shared vision for the further development of student self-government.
During the meeting, representatives of the 2025–2026 Student Rectorate were expressed sincere gratitude for their active community involvement, completed projects, volunteer initiatives, and significant contribution to the development of student life at the university. At the same time, the newly elected team shared their own ideas and the first steps they plan to take in the near future.
