On 10 October, Sumy National Agrarian University welcomed prospective students and their parents to an online Open Day. Participants learnt about the admissions process, the university’s educational opportunities and student life, explored various academic programmes through interactive activities and practical examples.
University representatives provided information about admission requirements and opportunities for winter enrolment. The Student Self-Government also shared its experience of international internships, student initiatives, and life beyond the classroom.
Each faculty prepared its own programme to introduce participants to academic disciplines and the professions of the future. The Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Environmental Management organised an “Agroscouters Battle” focusing on agriculture and modern technologies. The Faculty of Biological Technologies introduced participants to the worlds of aquaculture, cynology, and the equestrian sports school, while the Faculty of Construction and Transport demonstrated how construction materials are tested and showcased the capabilities of navigation systems.
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine presented veterinary practice and methods for detecting food fraud. The Faculty of Economics and Management offered an interactive Kahoot game on business and economics. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology demonstrated the potential of precision agriculture technologies. The Faculty of Law invited participants to take part in the quiz “Your Future Map with the Faculty of Law,” while the Faculty of Food Technologies revealed the secrets of professional success in its field.
The event provided an opportunity not only to learn more about studying at SNAU but also to know more about academic disciplines, explore personal interests and discover new professional opportunities.
We thank everyone who joined the Open Day, put questions and participated in the interactive activities! More meetings and opportunities to discover SNAU are ahead.
