Sumy National Agrarian University participated for the third time in the annual conference and exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE). Representatives from the University were Vice Rector for Scientific and International Work Professor Yurii Danko and Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing and Logistics Kseniia Bliumska-Danko.
The event took place from September 8 to 11, 2026, in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. According to the organizers it brought together more than 7,300 professionals in the field of international education from over 100 countries. Over the course of four days, representatives of universities and educational organizations exchanged experiences, discussed the development of international education and explored opportunities for new collaborations.
For the SNAU representatives two days at the exhibition were dedicated to strengthening existing partnerships and exploring new opportunities. On the first day, meetings were held with partners with whom the University has established strategic partnerships. Participants discussed future collaboration and prospects for expanding their joint efforts. The second day was focused on establishing new contacts and holding discussions with potential partners.
During the event SNAU representatives established new contacts with colleagues from Georgia, Mexico and Argentina. These contacts expand the University’s international cooperation and open up opportunities for continued discussions on educational and research initiatives.
A concrete outcome of the delegation’s participation was the signing of cooperation agreements with two Turkish higher education institutions: Yalova University and Artvin Çoruh University. The next step will be to identify practical areas of partnership and develop proposals for joint activities.
The Ukrainian national booth served as a key venue for meetings between members of the Ukrainian delegation and their international colleagues. Throughout the exhibition it attracted representatives of universities and educational organizations from various countries who were interested in learning more about Ukrainian higher education and opportunities for cooperation.
Topics discussed at the Ukrainian booth included joint educational programmes, academic mobility, research projects, and the development of cooperation with existing international partners. For SNAU participation in the booth provided an opportunity to showcase the University’s educational and research capabilities and contribute to the joint presentation of Ukrainian higher education on the international stage.
Work on the proposals discussed during EAIE 2026 will continue in the coming weeks through correspondence and online meetings. The main focus will be on identifying shared interests and agreeing on specific steps for cooperation with our partners.
