About Centre for Advanced Training, Retraining, and Improvement of Managers and Specialists

The purpose of the Centre for Advanced Training, Retraining, and Improvement of Managers and Specialists is to provide: educational, research and training, design, consulting, information, and innovation services; professional training of the student by deepening, expanding and updating his professional knowledge, skills and abilities; advanced training, internships and other forms of training to meet the needs of the region and the state as a whole.

The Centre is guided in its activities by the Laws of Ukraine “On Education”, “On Higher Education”, the University Statute, the Regulations, orders and instructions of the Rector of the University and other legislative and regulatory acts on issues within the competence of the Centre.
The educational process at the Centre is carried out by highly qualified scientific and pedagogical staff of the University, as well as leading specialists of scientific institutions, heads of various organizations and practitioners.

Forms of training during advanced training are lectures, trainings, seminars, webinars, master classes, round tables, field trips and other active forms of training.
Upon successful completion of the courses, the Centre’s students receive a standardized certificate of advanced training.

Historical background

According to the Order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine of August 6, 2003 № 263, the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the Sumy Regional School of Agricultural Management and the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of Sumy National Agrarian University was established on the basis of the Sumy Regional School of Agricultural Management and the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of Sumy National Agrarian University.

According to the Rector’s order No. 84-k of April 28, 2006 and in accordance with the University’s charter, the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Advisory Services of Sumy National Agrarian University was established on the basis of the Institute of Postgraduate Education.

According to the order of the rector No. 230/1-k of June 1, 2016, the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Advisory Services was renamed the Institute of Advanced Training, Retraining, and Improvement of Management and Specialists of the SNAU.

According to the Rector’s order No. 278/1-vk of 22.02.2019, the Institute for Advanced Training, Retraining, and Improvement of Managers and Specialists was renamed the Centre for Advanced Training, Retraining, and Improvement of Managers and Specialists.
