A FLAG AS A SYMBOL AND A BOOK AS A WORD: THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COORDINATION COUNCIL OF ATO PARTICIPANTS OF SUMY REGION VISITED SNAU

On May 31, the Chairman of the Coordination Council of ATO participants Andrii Timofeev visited Sumy National Agrarian University. It was not his first visit to Sumy NAU.

“At the very beginning of the war we tried to help everyone. We did everything we could, providing soldiers with chainsaws and bulletproof vests. The fact that today we help less is not a minus for us, but a plus for the state. These days many military men need moral support. Guys, who are still in the trenches, understand that all this is not in vain,” – explained the rector of Sumy NAU Volodymyr Ladyka. Andrii Timofeev presented the rector with the flag of Ukraine, signed by 16 heroes of Ukraine, who are members of the Coordination Council. “The university’s contribution to the support of the 27th Brigade and 15th Battalion is invaluable. All the Heroes of Ukraine unanimously decided to present this flag with signatures to SNAU. Sumy NAU is the first university in Ukraine, which got such a flag,” – said Mr. Timofeev. In response, Volodymyr Ladyka presented the military man with a collection of poems “Love Your Ukraine…”. Volodymyr Ladyka added that the flag would be kept in the SNAU Museum.

By the way, in 2014 Sumy NAU was the first university to apply to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a proposal to provide free training to participants in the Anti-Terrorist Operation.
