November, 10 the training program “Drought in Ukraine. Successful management of moisture in the soil» was conducted in SNAU. This program is supported by the Embassy of Austria and by some agricultural companies. Sumy NAU was chosen as the venue of this seminar because of new modern laboratories that were created with the involvement of agricultural companies. Representatives of agricultural enterprises from different parts of Ukraine took part in the training program. Rector of SNAU, Volodymyr Ladyka said: “Sumy NAU is a platform for discussions, for obtaining new knowledge. We are unique as there are theoretical and practical training laboratories at our disposal. Today you can see how we work in the covered proving ground which was built on the basis of German project”. The representative of Austria Embassy, Gabriela Giselbert highly estimated technological facilities of our university. Speakers from leading agricultural companies of Ukraine and of the world made presentations regarding the latest methods of effective moisture management, improving soil fertility and crop care. The participants of this event gained the information concerning the soil preparation for soybean cultivation, mechanical care of crops as well as learned about financial instruments, credit and leasing offers for the purchase of agricultural equipment. They also visited a unique proving ground of precise agricultural systems of Ukraine.
