From 23 to 26 April 2025, Sumy National Agrarian University representatives took part in the first module of the Academic Managers Professional Development Programme, which was held at Mariupol State University.

This programme was launched by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and implemented by the British Council as part of a joint project with the World Bank, ‘Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results Project’ (UIHERP).

The delegation of Sumy NAU included Marharyta LYSHENKO, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Educational Work, Svitlana LUKASH, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Oleksandr SOLARIOV, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Transport, Olha BAKUMENKO, Dean of the Faculty of Agrotechnologies and Natural Resource Management, Nataliia KOLODNENKO, Head of the Academic Department, Olena RYBINA, Head of the Department of Education Quality, Licensing and Accreditation, and Nataliia VOLCHENKO, Head of the Department of International Relations.

The participants of the event gained new knowledge about tools and methods of effective management in the higher education system, finding inspiration for strategic initiatives, developing academic leadership, improving interaction with communities and stakeholders, the specifics of implementing dual education, focusing on practical training of students and shaping the concept of a pro-community university.

Participation in the Programme contributes to the professional development of the management team of Sumy NAU and creates new opportunities for the development of the university at the national and international levels.
