On 28 October, a scheduled meeting of the Academic Council was held at Sumy National Agrarian University. Before discussing the issues on the agenda, a landmark event took place for the university – the presentation of a certificate to Professor Maryna SAMILYK. The staff of Sumy NAU congratulated the Head of the Department of Food Technology and Safety on the well-deserved award!
After the solemn part, those present had another important mission – to support two SNAU lecturers in obtaining the title of associate professor. This time 2 candidates: Olena KANIVETS and Yuliia SIRENKO. In the end, both teachers were supported.

Among the reports heard by the participants were the issues of organising the educational process and forming a high-quality educational environment at the university, which was introduced by the Head of the Academic Department Nataliia KOLODENKO. To this end, all those responsible must ensure the quality preparation of educational and methodological support for the educational process in the academic year 2024-2025.
In addition, the members of the Academic Council heard a report by Olena RYBINA, Acting Head of the Department of Education Quality, Licensing and Accreditation. During her speech, she demonstrated the results of external quality assurance last year. In addition, the issue of accreditation of educational programmes was discussed in detail. The audience was shown the examination of accreditation materials of educational programmes and new changes in accreditation, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science dated 15.05.2024.
Successful accreditation is a key factor for the development of the university, as it is a procedure that officially confirms the compliance of the quality of educational services provided by the university according to the programme developed by it with the current state requirements and educational standards.
