On 30 September, a meeting of the Academic Council was held at Sumy National Agrarian University. The issues discussed were the organization of the educational process, as well as the awarding of teachers and staff of the university and colleges. The agenda:
1. On the peculiarities of organizing the educational process and ensuring the quality of student training in the 2024-2025 academic year (Reporter: Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Educational Work Marharyta LYSHENKO);
2. On the state of implementation and priority areas of career guidance work in SNAU and colleges in the 2024/25 academic year (Reporter: Assistant Rector for Career Guidance Nina MELNYK);
3. Approval of the Regulations on the Academic Council of Sumy NAU (Reporter: Chairman of the Academic Council Volodymyr LADYKA);
4. Approval of the Procedure Rules of Sumy NAU Academic Council (Reporter: Chairman of the Academic Council Volodymyr LADYKA);
5. On amendments to the rules of admission to Sumy NAU in 2024 (Reporter: Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Viktor SERHIENKO);
6. Miscellaneous;
6.1. On the organization of the educational process in the 1st semester of the 2024-2025academic year;
6.2. On awarding the title of Honorary Professor of Sumy NAU to Christian SCHU, a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Trisdorf (Germany) (Speaker: Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Educational Work Marharyta LYSHENKO);
6.3. Issues of the Quality Council and the Methodological Council (The issues are submitted as a result of consideration at the meeting of the Council for Quality Assurance of Educational Activities and Higher Education of Sumy National Agrarian University on 27.09.24);
6.3.1. On making changes to the project groups composition;
6.3.2. On amendments to the composition of the expert councils of employers;
6.3.3. On the reorganization of the internal quality assurance system;
6.3.4. On the approval of short-term programmes of the Sumy Business School Educational and Research Centre;
6.3.5. On the approval and recommendation for publication of educational and methodological literature (Speaker: Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Educational Work Marharyta LYSHENKO);
6.4. Issues of scientific work (Issues are submitted as a result of consideration at the meeting of the Scientific Coordination Council of Sumy National Agrarian University on 27.09.24);
6.4.1. On the expulsion of applicants for the degree of PhD;
6.4.2. On granting academic leave;
6.4.3. On adjusting the theme of dissertation research;
6.4.4. On the recommendation for admission to doctoral studies at the expense of budgetary funding;
6.4.5. On changing the supervisor;
6.4.6. On approval of one-time specialised academic councils for the defence of a dissertation;
6.4.7. On the recognition of certificates and credit for international internships;
6.4.8. On referral to foreign internships;
6.5. On the approval of the Regulations on the Centre for Work with Foreign Students of Sumy National Agrarian University (Reporter: Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Activities Oleksandr IVCHENKO);
6.6. On the approval of the Regulations on the Educational, Research and Production Centre of SNAU (Reporter: Vice-Rector for Economic and Business Work Mykola KOVALENKO).
The audience heard a report by Marharyta LYSHENKO, Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical and Academic Activities. She once again stressed the importance of continuing to develop priority areas: academic mobility, double degree programme, safety of participants in the educational process and encouraging new entrants to SNAU.
In addition, due to the situation in the region and the city, Sumy NAU continued online learning.
Also, during the Academic Council, qualification certificates were issued to agricultural advisers based on the exam they passed last week.
Ex-rectors of the university, ex-deans and directors of institutes and colleges were also awarded. The university has noted the significant role of everyone who has contributed to the development of our educational institution. Their tireless work, managerial wisdom and commitment to academic values are the key to promoting the brand of Sumy National Agrarian University in Ukraine and all around the world.
