Every year, December is very successful for the creative teams of Sumy National Agrarian University. Students, staff and citizens who train at our University take part in national and regional competitions and contests, traditionally winning honorable prizes.

Recently, the exemplary modern ballroom dance ensemble “SWAY” of the Department for Organizing the Educational Activity with Students of Sumy NAU showed its achievements during the All-Ukrainian Festival-Contest of Children and Youth Creativity “ROYAL DANCE”. The event was held in the city of Sumy and was initiated by the public organization Constellation of Youth and Young Talents. The team took part in the Ballroom Choreography nomination and demonstrated 4 compositions in different age categories: 10-12 years and 16 years and older. Among the numbers are both new and familiar ones: “I BELIEVE”, “When it’s all over…”, “People like ships”, “On the waves”. The judges recognized our ensemble at the highest level, as the compositions received first-degree diplomas.

For 25 years, the founder and choreographer Yurii SERHEIEV has been leading the “SWAY” dance team. During this time, the team has gained the honorary name of one of the best in the city and in Ukraine. Numerous victories confirm the high level of training provided during training. Children, students, and adult Sumy residents join the team.

The SNAU team is also proud of its vocalists. During the “ROYAL TALENTS” competition, which was part of the “ROYAL DANCE AND ROYAL TALENTS” event in Sumy, Zlata HRUSHKA took first place in the “Pop Vocal” nomination. The 1st year student of the Faculty of Economics and Management is engaged in vocal training at the Struna studio of the Department for Organizing of Educational Work with Students of Sumy National University under the guidance of Maryna ROMANENKO. Zlata performed a wonderful composition “Storks”.

Students of Sumy NAU also demonstrated their talents during the all-Ukrainian festival-competition of choreographic art “MEGA FREEDOM”. Anastasiia BAZYLSKA took first place in the Original Genre nomination with her performance “Dumy”, while Andrii KOLODENKO and Diana DEREVIANCHENKO became the winners with their composition “Carpathian Rhythm”.

We are proud of the students of our creative teams: from the youngest participants to those who have been attending classes for many years. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the leaders for their hard work and love for what they do.

We believe in your further victories and ups!
