Honoured guests visited Sumy National Agrarian University: Oleksii Shkuratov – Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Taras Dzоba – Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization, Volodymyr Huk – the Minister adviser of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Dmytro Zhyvytskyi – Head of Sumy Regional State Administration, Taras Savchenko – First Deputy Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Viktor Fedorchenko – Head of the Sumy Regional Council and Tetiana Skrypka – People’s Deputy of Ukraine visited SNAU.
With the participation of guests and the rector of Sumy NAU, Academician of NAAS Volodymyr Ladyka, the Centre for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment on the Latest Agrotechnologies “Laboratory of Ecological Agriculture and Natural Resource Management” was opened. Besides, the guests visited the indoor winter landfill.
Sumy National Agrarian University is one of the few that got into the first wave of creating centres for the collective use of scientific equipment at the state level. The centre concentrates both high-quality modern scientific equipment and scientific personnel focused on deep scientific research. The audience was shown laboratories of chromatography and spectrophotometry, biochemical research, modern vegetative research, PCR diagnostics, scientific and practical laboratory of biotechnological research IN VITRO.
The participants were also introduced to a unique project implemented by Sumy National Agrarian University – an indoor winter landfill that has no analogues in Ukraine. Smart landfill is a part of the SNAU Centre for Precision Agriculture. It will host classes for students of mechanics, future specialists in agronomy and construction specialties.
Taras Dzoba, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization, noted that he was struck by the level of cooperation between the university, local authorities and business.
