On 29 April, Sumy National Agrarian University celebrates its 48th anniversary. SNAU is the youngest but ambitious higher education institution in Sumy, which is developing dynamically thanks to the efforts of students and staff.
We sincerely congratulate the university community on this significant date. 48 years is another year of experience, knowledge and hard work. From year to year, the university staff together with its partners multiplies its achievements and accomplishments.
The introduction of new educational programmes helps to expand the university family, attracting more and more students. Ensuring the safety of the educational process, in particular through the construction of protective shelters, is a priority. And the growth of positions in international rankings – Scopus, QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025, Webometrics January 2025, SCImago Institution Rankings 2025 – strengthens the image of SNAU both in the national market of educational services and at the global level. The university’s participation in these rankings would not have been possible without the powerful research work of teachers and students.
Significant achievements include the development of international academic mobility: the first graduation of masters of the double degree programme of SNAU and the Royal Agricultural University, the successful completion of a virtual semester with the University of Weihenstephan-Trisdorf. These initiatives open up new opportunities, improve skills and promote international integration.
The university community is actively involved in volunteering: it organises charity events to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and holds entertainment programmes for children from orphanages. Students have launched an initiative to walk animals from the shelter and are also involved in weaving camouflage nets.
The sporting achievements of our students are also significant, as they have won prizes in competitions of various levels throughout the year, demonstrating strength, endurance and team spirit.
This year, SNAU has experienced a real flowering of student life: active, proactive students have brought the educational and extracurricular processes to a new level both within the university and at the faculties.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who is part of the big family of the University and works daily to improve it. Without you, this path would not have been possible. Let’s continue to glorify the name of Sumy National Agrarian University and grow together.
